Description:

As a Global Commissioning Technician (Electrical/Mechanical) – Jenbacher Gas Engines, you will be dispatched worldwide to support our Jenbacher gas engine installations. Your responsibilities include commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, scheduled maintenance, and other service activities. This role requires 80–90% international travel and a solid technical understanding of electrical grid systems, VDE measurements, PLC systems, P&I schemes, synchron-generators, and PID-controllers.

Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning, repair and maintenance of Jenbacher gas and biogas engines in Spain and abroad
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, PID-controllers, and grid-related interfaces
  • Performing and interpreting VDE measurements 
  • Providing technical support to our partners and our customers
  • Reviewing and utilizing P&I schemes during on-site activities 
  • On-site supervision of subcontractor work
  • Documentation of completed service activities
Requirements:
  • Secondary school / vocational qualification (e.g. automotive mechanic, auto electrician, agricultural machinery mechanic, or mechanical fitter)
  • Experience with gas engines, or strong willingness to quickly acquire the required knowledge
  • Technical understanding in at least some of the following areas: – electrical grid systems
    – VDE measurement
    – PLC systems
    – P&I schemes
    – synchron-generators
    – PID-controllers
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Valid category B driving licence
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, plus willingness to learn and develop further if required
